“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.”
-Brené Brown

Amy Warinner

MS, NCC, LPC, LPC Supervisor

(She/Her)

“What you nurture grows.”

Amy enjoys supporting individuals and families with a variety of challenges. She is particularly experienced in supporting clients in recovery from trauma and addictions, self-harming behaviors, and recovery from harmful relationships. Many of her clients are teens, young adults, and families learning skills related to emotional regulation and healthier communication. She also enjoys working with people to improve their self-confidence, discover a new sense of self, and find purpose, meaning, and joy in life. Amy welcomes clients from early adolescence through adults of all ages. She is always motivated to work with groups to enhance team cohesiveness and motivation.

Amy uses a variety of approaches to help clients reach their goals; she applies the polyvagal theory to help people understand connections and relationships between our body, mind, and spirit, including the importance of tending to all these elements to sustain deeper healing and feelings of connection. She combines the use of empirically-based interventions, including EMDR and somatic approaches, to help clients release negative emotions and energy stored in their bodies.

Marjon Murphy

MS, NCC, Professional Counselor Associate

(She/Her)

“Your symptoms do not define you, nor do your fears, but they are an important part of who you are at this moment.” - Karen Kleiman

Counseling can help people get closer to happiness. Marjon uses a warm, empathic, interpersonal approach in her counseling. She is direct, honest, and humorous.  Marjon is here to challenge you because, while real growth isn't always comfortable, it is always worthwhile. Marjon prefers a strengths and process-based approach incorporating attachment, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and Gottman methods to support her clients.

Marjon enjoys working with adults dealing with relationship issues, empty nesters, and those impacted by menopause, postpartum, breastfeeding, life transitions, blended families, divorce, or narcissistic abuse. Marjon is available for couples counseling.

Marjon has a particular passion for helping anyone with a baby. She gets the struggle and the mixed feelings of joy, doubt, ambivalence, and anxious uncertainty. She understands the reluctance of tired mothers to engage in therapy, but it can be so helpful! Marjon is certified in breastfeeding and has provided hands-on care to many families in Central Oregon as a postpartum doula.  She authored a book titled The Next Level Postpartum Doula and advocates for awareness of better perinatal mental health.

Marjon loves roaming the mountains and campgrounds of Oregon’s majestic wonderland in her free time with her dog, family, and girlfriends.

“Your now is not your forever.” -John Green

Recognizing the importance of meeting clients in their current state of readiness, Stef believes her role as a counselor is to provide a warm, comfortable, nonjudgmental space where they can explore their human experience at their own pace. She views each client as an expert in their own life. She aims to journey alongside them as they cultivate emotional awareness, expand their capacity for resilience and regulation, and develop adaptive coping skills. With a humanistic approach, Stef incorporates elements from theories that facilitate inner-child work, self-reflection, and empowerment, often infusing laughter and humor to foster connection and strengthen the therapeutic alliance.

In her free time, Stef enjoys diving into fantasy fiction novels, rock climbing, and camping with her partner and their senior dog.
