Supervision is a working alliance between the supervisor and counselor in which the counselor can offer an account or recording of their work, reflect on it and receive feedback.

With supervision through Catalyst, we believe it is important to help support your process of setting clear boundaries and following ethical guidelines, for counselors to respond to the needs of their clients accurately and empathetically, in a professional manner.

Our Supervisors

  • Debbi Mason

Debbi often engages supervisees with activities designed to model real play sessions while providing emotional support and advice when needed. Debbi is known for offering a climate in which the supervisee can feel understood, supported, and challenged as well as instructed and assisted in their counseling work.

  • Amy Warinner

Amy enjoys diving into case consultation with her clients, helping them examine their work through the various lenses her clients identify as their areas for desired growth. She is well versed in working with complex trauma and understands the extra support needed for therapists treating trauma. During the pandemic and this time of increased tensions within our political and world climate, Amy has found it especially helpful to her supervisees to incorporate applications of Somatic work into the sessions when applicable. These practices are both healthy reminders of simple tools for self-care as a therapist, as well as tools that can be used in session with their clients, to both physically and emotionally let go of some of the tensions those working in the helping field tend to hold for others.

Catalyst offers a variety of options for supervision including:

  • Individual

  • Group

  • Tele-health

We invite you to contact either Debbi or Amy to inquire about engaging in Supervision through Catalyst

What our supervisees have reflected back to us:

“During my counseling internship under Debbi’s supervision, she continuously provided opportunities that challenged me as a counselor all while providing ample support along the way. Her belief in my abilities allowed me to take on difficult cases, with the added benefit of laughter along the journey. If I again need supervision, I will choose Debbi immediately!”
